About

Chote Works is Nick Chote, building from the Sunshine Coast.

One person doing two kinds of work: Site Front websites for trades and local service businesses, and AI and systems projects.

Why it exists

Most of my career has been enterprise software for organisations with thousands of assets and teams of people making sure a request never falls through the cracks.

Then I look at the businesses around me, like the pressure cleaner, the electrician or the bloke who does lawns, and their front door is a website that can’t answer a single question after 5pm. The problem is the same one I’ve spent years on: a request comes in and nobody catches it. The difference is that for a small business, every missed one is a job that went to someone else.

AI changed the maths. Things that took an agency and a big budget, I can now build properly, fast, for one business at a time. So I built Site Front to handle the dull, high-stakes machinery once, and I build every site on it myself.

How Chote Works works

  • Give away the recipe

Most of what I know about why small-business websites lose enquiries is on the Site Front page, free. If you can fix it yourself, you should.

  • No invented anything

No fake reviews, no made-up years in business, no licence numbers nobody checked. If a customer catches one, they stop believing the rest.

  • Boring machinery, done properly

Forms that fail loudly, redirects that don’t lose your rankings, an AI that says “I don’t know”. None of it shows in a screenshot, but it decides whether an enquiry reaches you.

  • Show, don’t pitch

You see your site working on a private link before you pay, so you’re judging the real thing.

Background

Where the systems experience comes from

15+ years on enterprise maintenance systems, the software behind water utilities, mines and hospitals. The first years were hands-on: database administration, implementations, integrations and testing.

Since then, mostly presales: building demos, answering tenders, and explaining complicated software to people who want to know whether it’ll fix their problem. That experience is what the AI and systems work draws on.

Bachelor of ICT (Information Systems), University of the Sunshine Coast.
